Rapid City police are actively investigating an armed robbery that occurred early Monday at the Yesway convenience store on North Haines. At around 3 a.m., a masked man with a handgun threatened the clerk and demanded cash, leaving with an undisclosed amount before fleeing the scene.
Authorities describe the suspect as wearing a black jacket, black stocking cap, and a black face mask, and they are currently reviewing surveillance footage from the area to identify him. The police encourage anyone with information regarding the robbery or the suspect’s identity to contact their office at 605-394-4134 or submit an anonymous tip by texting ‘RCPD’ to 847411.
