The footage, shared by the Reno Police Department, shows officers arriving within two-and-a-half minutes of receiving an active shooter call as Hawver fires indiscriminately, utilizing a 9 mm handgun in a chaotic scene on July 28.
During the confrontation, officers exchange gunfire with Hawver, who discharged at least 80 rounds before being struck by police fire. The victims, including two men returning from a bachelor party, were shot without any apparent connection to the shooter, whose motives remain under investigation. He collapsed after being shot and died in the hospital two days later, prompting further inquiries into the incident given that Hawver had no prior criminal history or mental health issues.
