Repeat Offender Gets 18-Year Sentence for Armed Robbery

Brock Watson, a repeat offender in Delaware County, is sentenced to 18 years in prison following his conviction for armed robbery, criminal recklessness, and theft. The 29-year-old’s sentence comes just shy of the maximum allowed, underscoring the seriousness of his crimes, which include involvement in a violent home invasion that began with gunfire in Muncie.

During the trial, evidence revealed that Watson shot at a resident who had attempted to confront him and his accomplices during the robbery. With a criminal history boasting 14 misdemeanor and 10 felony convictions, Delaware County Prosecutor Eric Hoffman emphasizes the need to hold repeat offenders accountable, stating that this harsh sentence aims to deter future crimes in the community.
