A retired city police officer, Edison Irizarry, is charged with murder after allegedly fatally shooting his roommate during an incident on Rombout Avenue in Beacon. Responding to Irizarry’s call reporting the shooting, police discovered 58-year-old Casey Cuddy dead from an apparent gunshot wound, prompting further investigation by State Police.
