Palo Alto police are investigating a strong-armed robbery in a parking lot near City Hall, where a man forcibly stole a woman’s purse and necklaces in broad daylight. The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday as the victim, a woman in her 40s, was walking with her toddler when the suspect grabbed her from behind, demanding her belongings.
The suspect, described as a Hispanic man with a thin build and short black hair, remains at large as of Friday morning. While the victim sustained minor injuries, including pain in her knee and neck, thankfully, her toddler was not physically harmed. Police are urging anyone with information to come forward, emphasizing the need for community assistance in solving this troubling crime.
