A 28-year-old man from Lee’s Summit, Quinten Rainner, has been arrested and charged after being shot during a series of armed robberies connected to dating apps. According to Jackson County Circuit Court records, Rainner’s criminal activities reportedly involved luring victims through platforms like Plenty of Fish and Facebook Dating, leading to multiple incidents where he allegedly threatened victims with a gun to rob them of their belongings, including a vehicle.
The police report reveals that during one robbery attempt, Rainner was shot after a confrontation with a potential victim. He is now facing a total of five counts of armed criminal action and could face a lengthy prison sentence if convicted. Rainner was arrested upon his release from the hospital where he was treated for his gunshot wound, and a bond review hearing is scheduled later this week.
