A 22-year-old Rosedale man faces multiple charges after an extensive seven-month investigation reveals a cache of ghost guns and ammunition found in his residence. Lianu Luis Brown Delgado has been arraigned on 51 counts, including criminal possession and sale of firearms, after authorities discover seven ghost guns, two of which are classified as assault weapons, alongside a 3D printer and over 100 rounds of ammunition.
Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz emphasizes the serious threat posed by untraceable firearms, noting that Delgado does not possess any legal firearm permits. The investigation, conducted by the District Attorney’s Crime Strategies and Intelligence Bureau in collaboration with the NYPD, underscores a broader effort to tackle illegal gun manufacturing; since August 2021, the initiative has resulted in the seizure of 468 firearms, including 303 ghost guns, in Queens. Delgado now faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
