Savannah Man Gets 20 Years for Violent Grocery Store Robbery

A Savannah man, 25-year-old Jordan Richardson, is sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for his role in a violent grocery store robbery that left two individuals injured in July 2022. Richardson pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including armed robbery and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon, which culminated in his piercing pursuit and shooting at an employee who fled with a cash deposit.

In a dramatic turn of events, Richardson’s crime spree included a chase through neighborhood streets that ended with him crashing into two police cars, leading to his capture. The court also mandates that he pay nearly $24,000 in restitution and serve five years of supervised release following his prison term. This case highlights the swift actions of law enforcement, underscoring their commitment to accountability in violent crimes.
