Maximillian B.D. Yanofsky, 30, has been arrested following a shooting incident in the emergency room of a Scottsdale hospital, where he shot a security guard during a confrontation. The altercation occurred just after 1 p.m. on Sunday, reportedly escalating after Yanofsky, who was brought in as a potential patient, became involved in a struggle with the guard.

Authorities quickly contained the situation, detaining Yanofsky and recovering a handgun at the scene within six minutes. The injured security guard is expected to recover after being treated at a trauma center, while another guard sustained minor injuries. With Yanofsky facing multiple felony charges, police reiterate that this was not an active shooter situation, assuring the public of the safety at the hospital.
