Portland police have arrested 49-year-old Justin P. Christiansen, a suspect in a series of armed robberies that have taken place since June across Southeast Portland. Authorities report he is connected to seven robbery incidents targeting various locations, including restaurants and gas stations, which raised significant concern in the community.
During the arrest, officers discovered a suspicious device in Christiansen’s vehicle, initially raising fears of an explosive. However, it was later determined to be a hoax. Law enforcement is now considering additional charges related to the fake device as the investigation continues. Residents with information on the robberies are urged to assist police to help ensure safety in the area.
