Authorities in Coshocton, Ohio, have successfully recovered seven stolen handguns following a burglary investigation that began on February 5, 2025. The Coshocton County Sheriff’s Office initially discovered one weapon, leading to the retrieval of the remaining six firearms from four locations across the county.
As part of the investigation, six local men have been charged, with varying degrees of felonies for their involvement. The most serious charge is against 18-year-old Austin P. Freetage, who faces a third-degree felony for burglary; while several others, aged 18 to 23, are charged with receiving stolen property. More charges may be forthcoming from the Coshocton County Prosecutor’s Office as the investigation continues.
