The Shelton Planning and Zoning Commission has approved the opening of MJ’s Ammo Saloon, a new gun shop slated to occupy a vacant space next to Wild Kanji in Crown Point Center. Owner Justin Bruno emphasizes a commitment to gun education and safety, planning to offer National Rifle Association basic pistol permit courses and requiring customers to present valid permits before handling firearms.
The shop, which will feature enhanced security measures including steel gates and a 24/7 surveillance system, is expected to open within the next three months. This will be Shelton’s second gun store, joining Shelton Gun Exchange, and aims to provide a more responsible approach to firearm sales, according to Bruno.
