The Jones County Sheriff’s Department (JCSD) is actively seeking assistance from the public to identify and locate a suspect involved in an armed robbery at a Dollar General store. The incident occurred on Sunday night at approximately 8:30 PM, when a masked individual threatened a store clerk with a long gun and demanded cash, ultimately making off with an undisclosed amount.
Fortunately, there were no injuries reported among the employees during the incident. The suspect, described as wearing black clothing with orange shoes, fled the scene in a silver passenger vehicle. JCSD encourages anyone with information to contact them at (601) 425-3147, or to reach out to Jones County Crime Stoppers at (601) 428-STOP (7867), as a financial reward may be available for information leading to an arrest.
