One man is hospitalized following a shooting and armed robbery in the 8700 block of Aurora Avenue North on July 29, 2025. The Seattle Police Department (SPD) reports that when officers arrived at the scene near the John Fox Place Apartments, they found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Neighbors described hearing gunfire, with one resident recalling the moment she realized the noise she heard was indeed gunshots after seeing the police presence. The injured man has been taken to Harborview Medical Center and is expected to survive surgery, according to authorities. The investigation is ongoing as police work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
