A 42-year-old man from Shreveport has been arrested after allegedly pointing what appeared to be a rifle at victims during a road rage incident on Sunday night. The Shreveport Police Department responded to reports from two individuals who described a white Ford F-150 that aggressively followed them before passing and brandishing the firearm. Quick police action led to the apprehension of Aaron Heins shortly after the incident.
Upon further investigation, authorities discovered that the weapon in question was actually an airsoft rifle. Despite this, police charged Heins with aggravated assault based on state law, which defines the offense as instilling reasonable fear of bodily harm in another person.
