Americus Police have apprehended a suspect in connection with an armed robbery that occurred early on February 17, 2025, at a Circle K convenience store on Crawford Street. The alleged perpetrator, identified as 48-year-old Cleveland Wilborn, reportedly entered the store at approximately 3:45 AM wearing a red jacket and ski mask, brandishing a handgun and demanding cash from the register.
Wilborn’s arrest took place later that afternoon after police tracked him down near E Lamar Street. Authorities encourage anyone with additional information about the incident to contact the Americus Police Department, as the investigation continues to unfold and further details may emerge.
