Suspect Arrested in Ranias Restaurant Armed Robbery

The North Charleston Police Department has arrested 36-year-old Kevin Lamar Scott in connection with an armed robbery at Ranias Restaurant that occurred on Sunday afternoon. Scott, who allegedly entered the restaurant armed with a weapon and stole cash from the register, was apprehended shortly after the incident when officers spotted him near the vicinity matching the suspect’s description.

Police reported that the robbery took place around 2 PM, prompting a swift response from law enforcement. Scott reportedly attempted to flee on a bicycle before abandoning it and continuing on foot, leading to his arrest near Tipson Street. His bond has been set at $25,000, and he is currently being held at the Sheriff Al Cannon Detention Center as the investigation continues.
