Suspect Dies After Armed Robbery at Greenville Store

A 35-year-old man, identified as Trey Rashon Lovett, dies in the hospital shortly after being taken into custody for alleged armed robbery at a Greenville convenience store. Lovett reportedly entered the Quick N’ Fast on White Horse Road armed with a knife, demanding money before deputies apprehended him, during which he was bitten by a K-9 officer.

Authorities state that Lovett was provided medical assistance on-site before being transported to a hospital, where he later passed away. His death occurred under custody circumstances, prompting the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) to conduct an investigation. Lovett faced charges for armed robbery and possession of a weapon during a violent crime, raising questions about the events leading to his fatal medical emergency.
