Authorities are searching for Joseph Butler, a 50-year-old Grand Coteau man, after a substantial cache of guns and drugs was discovered in his home. The St. Landry Parish Sheriff’s Office reports that the investigation led to the seizure of nearly one kilogram of suspected cocaine, valued at approximately $95,400, along with hundreds of prescription pills and multiple firearms, including stolen weapons.
The discovery came following the execution of a search warrant on August 14, aided by the Sheriff’s Office SWAT team. Alongside Butler, who faces multiple felony charges including illegal possession of firearms and intent to distribute drugs, law enforcement encourages anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them or Crime Stoppers.
