The Honolulu Police Department has charged two men in connection with an armed robbery that occurred at the Pearlridge Shopping Center. On a Tuesday evening, the suspects allegedly approached two parked individuals in a vehicle, one armed with a handgun and the other with a knife, before demanding their belongings and searching through their car. The robbery ended with the suspects fleeing the scene in a white Lexus, which was later found abandoned nearby.
34-year-old Damien Cabral and 36-year-old Lincoln Kapua were arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including first-degree robbery and carrying a firearm during the commission of a felony. Cabral faces a total bail set at $150,000, while Kapua’s bail is set at $200,000. This incident highlights growing concerns over safety in public spaces, prompting community anxiety and a closer look at recent crime trends in the area.
