Three Syracuse men have pleaded guilty to federal firearms charges for their role in a trafficking ring that supplied illegal weapons to a known felon. Erik Burch, Khalid Richardson, and Lamar Stanford, all with prior felony convictions, admitted to selling firearms and face potential sentences of up to 15 years in prison.
During the investigation by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF), Richardson acknowledged selling guns to a convicted felon on four occasions last year, obtaining firearms from Burch and Stanford for some of these transactions. The case highlights the serious risks illegal firearms trafficking poses to community safety and is part of a broader federal initiative aimed at reducing violent crime.
