A 17-year-old from Pasco is in custody following an alleged armed robbery at the Wake Up Call coffee shop in Kennewick early Tuesday morning. Police report that the suspect entered the establishment through a window around 5:30 a.m., brandished a gun, and demanded cash from the register.
During the incident, a shop employee armed with a legally owned firearm fired a shot in the suspect’s direction but did not hit him. The teen fled the scene in a stolen vehicle, which was later abandoned. Authorities apprehended him later that day during a traffic stop and booked him on multiple charges, including robbery and unlawful firearm possession, as the investigation continues.
