An 18-year-old man, Kevin Lowery, is facing serious charges including aggravated assault and possession of illegal weapons after reportedly threatening his uncle with a high-capacity gun during a family dispute in Memphis. According to police, Lowery brandished a handgun equipped with a drum-style magazine after an argument about being taken to another relative’s home, declaring his intent to shoot if not driven away quickly.
Authorities say that Lowery also sent threatening text messages to other relatives, demanding money or else they would “lose everything.” Police arrested him with a handgun and drugs in his possession, emphasizing the need for swift action to remove potentially dangerous individuals from the streets. He is currently held on a $25,000 bond with a court appearance scheduled for Thursday.
