An 18-year-old Tennessee man, Kevin Lowery, is in custody after allegedly threatening his uncle with a gun containing a 100-round magazine during a family dispute. The incident escalated when the uncle confronted Lowery about allegations of theft, leading the teen to brandish the weapon and declare his intent to shoot if not promptly driven away.
Police responded to the scene on Overton Park Avenue and found Lowery sitting outside, where a gun and high-capacity magazine fell from his lap upon his stand. In addition to facing multiple felony charges, including aggravated assault and possession of marijuana with intent to sell, Lowery reportedly sent threatening messages to his aunt regarding the incident, intensifying concerns about his behavior.
