Police in Burlington, North Carolina, are investigating a dramatic smash-and-grab incident at the Weapon Works gun shop, where thieves used a car to break into the store early Sunday morning. Around 3:00 a.m., officers found the store’s front entryway shattered and security barriers forcibly opened, indicating a planned operation to access the firearms inside.
The suspects drove a black 2013 Kia Optima into the shop to facilitate their entry, and multiple firearms were stolen before they fled the scene. As of now, no arrests have been made, and authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to contact the Burlington Police Department or submit a tip through Crime Stoppers.
