Authorities arrest three individuals in connection with a ghost gun incident in St. Lawrence County, where a man accidentally shot himself in the knee. The incident unfolded on July 13, prompting a response from New York State Police to Beebe Road in Hopkinton, where 28-year-old James Wells was found with a self-inflicted injury from a 9mm ghost gun, later revealed to have been unlawfully possessed.
During the investigation, police uncover that Matthew Deshaw, 39, removed the firearm from the scene before handing it over to 37-year-old Matthew Parker, who was also charged for possessing the weapon due to a prior conviction. Wells faces multiple charges including criminal possession of a firearm, while Deshaw is charged with tampering with evidence. All three suspects are set to appear in court next month.
