Three individuals face multiple charges related to illegal firearms following a police response to gunshot reports in Fall River’s Maple Gardens Housing Development. The suspects, identified as 19-year-old Steven Collazo Martinez, 18-year-old Elias Ramos, and 21-year-old William McCarthy, were apprehended after detectives observed suspicious behavior, including a traffic stop of their vehicle, which had its taillights off.
During the investigation, police discovered a loaded Polymer 80 9mm handgun in a crossbody bag located in the back seat of the car, alongside a large 3D printer. Notably, Martinez faces an enhanced charge due to a prior violent or drug-related offense. Despite several reports of gunfire in the area, law enforcement found no evidence of a shot fired.
