New Haven police have charged three men with gun-related offenses following separate incidents in the city this week. One of the suspects, Dayquan Cherry, a convicted felon, was caught with a loaded pistol and 19 bags of crack cocaine during a narcotics investigation and faces a $200,000 bond.
Meanwhile, another suspect, Dylan Pellot, 21, was found with two illegal Glock-style firearm components at Tweed Airport, claiming they belonged to a friend. Additionally, Dyjhaune Brown, 20, had a stolen firearm and high-capacity magazine discovered during a parole compliance check, leading to his immediate arrest. The frequency of these arrests highlights ongoing concerns about illegal guns in the community.
