Three Men Indicted for Armed Robberies Near State Fair

Three young men have been federally indicted for a spree of armed robberies that unfolded on August 17, coinciding with preparations for the Minnesota State Fair. Dylan Charles Jungwirth, 21, Kenneth Toy Spight, 21, and Kemonie Hurd, 18, allegedly targeted multiple gas stations using a realistic airsoft gun, threatening employees and causing temporary disruptions in the fair’s operations.

The robbers are accused of stealing money and damaging property, including injuring a cashier during one of the heists. Authorities pursued the suspects after the final robbery led to a vehicle crash near the fairgrounds, resulting in all three being apprehended. If convicted of Hobbs Act robbery charges, they could face life imprisonment. This case highlights the heightened concern for public safety during a beloved state celebration.
