Salem police have arrested three individuals, including two juveniles, in connection with an armed robbery that occurred during a planned sale of an expensive pair of shoes. The suspects, identified as 18-year-old Michael Shanafelt and two juveniles aged 16 and 14, allegedly displayed a firearm and stole the shoes from the victim who had arranged to meet them on Schwartz Street Saturday night.
After the robbery, the victim reported the incident to the police, who subsequently located the suspects at Shanafelt’s residence. During the arrest, law enforcement recovered the stolen shoes and took the suspects into custody without incident. Further investigations are ongoing as police work to gather additional evidence related to the case.
