The Titusville City Council has voted to support the request of Samantha Charles, whose son, Tri’Marea Charles, was shot and killed by police in February. Officers involved in the incident claim that they opened fire when Charles reached for a gun after it fell from his waistband during a response to a reported suspicious incident. The Florida Department of Law Enforcement has completed its review and passed the findings to the state attorney, raising questions about the delays in transparency surrounding the incident.
