The Tomahawk Motel in Ahoskie was robbed at gunpoint late Wednesday night, prompting an investigation by local police. Ahoskie Police Chief Michele Garrett reports that a lone suspect armed with a handgun entered the motel’s front office around 11 p.m. and demanded money from the clerk. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
Following the robbery, the suspect, described as dressed in all black, fled on foot across Academy Street and into the darkness. Authorities are currently reviewing surveillance video to gather more details about the robber’s appearance.
