Trump Calls for Action Against Anti-Israel Protesters

Former President Donald Trump demands that the U.S. government address anti-Israel protests by treating the involved agitators like the January 6 hostages. Speaking outside a courtroom, Trump claims these protesters, many associated with far-left organizations, are causing significant harm to the nation and should be identified and penalized similarly to those involved in the Capitol riots of January 2021. He specifically notes that the unrest, which has spread across multiple college campuses, has been funded by what he calls “Biden’s backers.”

During his remarks, Trump highlights a recent protest at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, where demonstrators engaged in flag burning and vandalism. He emphasizes that these protests are largely driven by non-students, stating that around 80% of the participants are “bad agitators” rather than those from the Palestinian community. As the war in the Middle East continues, the push for divestment from Israel at institutions like Columbia University and UCLA intensifies, underscoring the growing tensions on campuses nationwide.
