Two Arrested After Stolen Gun Found in Hanford

Two individuals are arrested in Hanford after one was allegedly found with a loaded handgun reported stolen from Visalia. Police were patrolling the area on February 13 when they recognized one of the suspects as armed; during the encounter, 19-year-old Marco Yanez fled, discarding the firearm before his capture.

Alongside Yanez, 24-year-old Luis Alberto Valdivia was detained at the scene and found to be on parole. Further investigation revealed ammunition and high-capacity magazines in Valdivia’s bedroom, raising concerns about firearm access for individuals with criminal records. Both suspects face serious charges, including possession of stolen property and weapons violations.
