Delaware State Police arrested two individuals in Bridgeville late Tuesday night following a traffic stop that uncovered two concealed loaded handguns. The incident occurred around 9:31 p.m. when a trooper noticed a vehicle fail to stop at a sign, leading to the discovery of the weapons inside the car.
The driver, 28-year-old Faythe Wise from Seaford, and the passenger, 31-year-old Derrick Edwards from Millsboro, were taken into custody without incident. Notably, Edwards is a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing firearms, raising concerns about the potential public safety risks involved. While Edwards was released on a $16,500 unsecured bond, Wise was allowed to leave on her own recognizance.
