Rapid City police have arrested two individuals in connection with separate armed robbery incidents that occurred on Saturday evening. One suspect, 25-year-old Shayna Long, faces charges including first-degree robbery after allegedly assaulting a visitor who sought marijuana at an apartment. The victim managed to escape and alert authorities, leading to the recovery of some stolen items during a search warrant execution.
In another incident just a few hours later, 20-year-old Devyn White Pipe is taken into custody after stealing a vehicle at gunpoint from a man parked in his car. Remarkably, the victim was able to track the vehicle using his headphones, directing police to its location. With multiple serious charges against White Pipe, including grand theft firearm and first-degree burglary, the investigation continues to identify an additional male suspect linked to the earlier robbery.
