Two Arrests: Forgery and Firearm Incident in VI

In a recent series of arrests, the Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD) reported two significant cases involving criminal offenses on St. Thomas and St. Croix. Daliqua Moses, a 27-year-old woman, faces multiple charges including forgery and grand larceny after allegedly altering a check worth $192 and cashing it for over $2,000 at a local bank. Investigators uncovered additional fraudulent activity as she also filed a false wage claim with the Labor Department.

Simultaneously, Therese Williams, 35, was arrested on St. Croix for reportedly pointing a firearm at a Wendy’s employee during a dispute. Charged with third-degree assault and related firearm offenses, Williams has been detained without bail according to the territory’s Domestic Violence statute. These incidents highlight ongoing law enforcement efforts to combat financial crimes and violent offenses across the Virgin Islands.
