Two men are charged following a shooting at Germantown Square Urban Park that resulted in the death of 34-year-old Kendall Butler over the weekend. Officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police responded to reports of gunfire just before 11:10 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, and discovered Butler had been shot multiple times, succumbing to his injuries at the scene.
The suspects, 39-year-old Michael Aaron Lynn and 61-year-old Kent Williams Jr., were found nearby with handguns. Lynn faces first-degree murder charges, while Williams confronts several gun-related offenses; both are currently held without bond. The investigation into their association with Butler remains ongoing, raising questions about what led to this tragic confrontation in the park.
