Memphis police are currently searching for two juveniles following an attempted armed robbery outside Pollos Asados El Tikal on May 17. The incident took place at approximately 4:40 p.m. when two victims, who were taking out the trash, were approached by armed suspects, with one attempting to steal from one of the victims. During the confrontation, a shot was fired, although both victims escaped without injury.
The primary suspect was seen wearing a burgundy hoodie and light blue denim jeans, while the second suspect was dressed entirely in black. Both fled the scene in a stolen 2019 Hyundai Elantra, prompting an ongoing investigation by the police. Authorities urge anyone with information to contact CrimeStoppers at 901-528-CASH to assist in bringing the suspects to justice.
