The Asheville Police Department has arrested two men, Theodore Anthony Brooks, 21, and Real Samuel Wells, 19, in connection with an armed robbery and carjacking that occurred on August 14. The incident unfolded when a victim, visiting a woman he met online, was reportedly held at gunpoint by the suspects after entering her home.
After the robbery, the victim was taken in his own vehicle and dropped off unharmed a few miles away. Officers later located Brooks and Wells using the victim’s stolen iPhone at a nearby residence, where they also discovered significant amounts of illegal drugs and firearms. Both suspects face multiple charges, including robbery with a dangerous weapon and second-degree kidnapping, with additional charges pending against an unidentified female accomplice.
