Two Men Charged with Duck Hunting Violations in Louisiana

Two men from Dequincy, Louisiana, are charged with a series of serious duck hunting violations observed by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. Billy Brown, 35, and Evan Stanley, 31, allegedly hunted migratory game birds over a baited area and used non-toxic shot, among other infractions. The charges include hunting with an unplugged gun and lacking a federal duck stamp.

Wildlife agents initiated surveillance after receiving tips about illegal baiting activities at a pond near Sulphur, where they witnessed the men actively hunting. The agents seized two wood ducks and have filed the case for prosecution in federal court, emphasizing the seriousness of wildlife regulations and the enforcement efforts to protect local ecosystems.
