Two Suspects Sought in Armed Robbery in Campbell County

The Campbell County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating an armed robbery that occurred on November 25, 2025, where a victim was threatened and physically assaulted with a handgun. Authorities have identified one suspect as 39-year-old Wendell Lewis Franklin of Lynchburg, who now faces multiple charges including robbery and use of a firearm during a felony.

Franklin was reported to be accompanied by another suspect, described as a 5’10” Black man, who fled the scene with him in a dark mid-sized SUV, possibly a Chevrolet or GMC. The sheriff’s office encourages anyone with information about the suspects or their whereabouts to contact local authorities, with the possibility of remaining anonymous and receiving a cash reward for tips leading to an arrest.
