Two teenagers, a 17-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy from Fort Pierce, have been arrested in connection with a gunfire incident and a subsequent vehicle chase on July 27. After sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of gunfire near Pine Creek Village apartments, a high-speed pursuit ensued when the teens attempted to flee, leading deputies to recover two handguns from the scene.
The pursuit commenced around 3:30 a.m. when deputies heard gunfire in the area. As the chase unfolded, the girl exited the vehicle and fled on foot before being apprehended, while the boy continued driving until the vehicle stopped on Mayflower Lane. Both teens now face multiple charges, including possession of a firearm by a juvenile and discharge of a firearm from a vehicle, highlighting the serious implications of their actions.
