Federal prosecutors have charged five individuals in Vallejo for participating in a gun-trafficking ring, allegedly aimed at fueling the violent rivalry between Norteño and Sureño gangs. The suspects reportedly used the Super 8 Motel as a base for their illegal activities, conducting transactions for high-powered firearms, including a September sale of a $1,700 machine gun, according to court documents.

The ongoing investigation, led by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Ammunition (ATF), raises alarming concerns about escalating gang violence in the area, as members reportedly discussed plans to resell weapons to rival factions while evading law enforcement.
