York Regional Police are currently searching for a young male suspect who allegedly brandished a firearm during two violent attempted robberies in Vaughan on June 4. The incidents occurred within a short timeframe of each other during online buy-and-sell transactions, highlighting concerns over safety in such exchanges.
The first robbery attempt involved victims who were met at a residence in the Trevor Street and Belview Avenue area, while the second occurred in a parking lot near Greenpark Boulevard and Weston Road. Both times, the suspect, described as being in his late teens or early 20s and approximately five feet seven inches tall, threatened victims without taking any items. Police urge anyone with information to come forward to help capture this suspect.
