Authorities have charged 27-year-old Taylor Knoop with child neglect following the emergence of photos depicting his young daughter asleep next to a gun and a beer bottle. Investigators claim the shocking images, which appear to have been staged, prompted an investigation that revealed unsafe conditions in Knoop’s home, including exposed wiring and unfit living arrangements for children.
In addition to the gun, a separate image reportedly captures another child in Knoop’s care holding what looks to be a bag of marijuana, with Knoop appearing nearby. Following the disturbing findings, child welfare officials have removed both minors from Knoop’s custody and placed them with family members as the case unfolds.
