Waterbury police are currently investigating an armed robbery that took place early Wednesday morning in the 100 block of Grove Street. Authorities responded to a report around 1:27 a.m. where a firearm was displayed during what was described by police as an “incident” inside a common area.
According to Lt. Ryan Bessette, the male victim was uninjured in the robbery, but police have not released further details regarding the circumstances of the crime. The investigation remains active as officers work to gather more information about the suspect and motive behind the incident.
