West Hartford police are currently investigating an attempted armed robbery that occurred at a Family Dollar store on Thursday night around 9:44 p.m. The incident took place at 939 New Britain Avenue, where a heavy-set man clad in a black hoodie, mask, glasses, and gloves allegedly tried to carry out the robbery. Thankfully, no injuries have been reported, and at this time, authorities have not revealed whether any cash or merchandise was stolen.
