Westport Police are actively searching for a firearm believed to have been discarded following an armed robbery of an armored truck outside a Wells Fargo Bank. The incident occurred around 12:33 p.m. on Thursday when two suspects in masks approached the driver, brandishing what appeared to be a revolver and demanding his belongings.
After the suspects were apprehended following a brief pursuit, officers discovered some stolen items nearby but have yet to locate the firearm that was reportedly used in the robbery. Police caution residents that the weapon could turn up on private property, urging anyone who finds it to contact authorities instead of attempting to handle it. The suspects, identified as 32-year-old Keith Greene and 33-year-old Davon Younger, face multiple charges related to the robbery, including first-degree robbery and firearm theft.
