Wichita police are investigating a homicide after a 49-year-old man was fatally shot while riding his bicycle in north Wichita. Chief Joseph Sullivan reports that the victim managed to ride at least three blocks after being shot in the upper torso before collapsing in an alley in the 2400 block of North Jeanette.
First responders were alerted by a passerby who discovered the man’s body shortly after 8:46 a.m. He succumbed to his injuries within minutes. Authorities are urging anyone with information about this tragic incident to come forward, emphasizing that tips can remain anonymous when reported through Crime Stoppers.
